The Arizona Cardinals and the Baltimore Ravens will meet up on the NFL circuit for Week 2 action Sunday.
The Cardinals pulled off a pretty uncommon opening-week tie against the Lions in their 2019 debut, scoring 18 points in the fourth quarter to close the gap.
Arizona QB Kyler Murray threw for 308 yards, two touchdowns and a pick in the Week 1 tie, and David Johnson led the rush with 82 yards. The ageless Larry Fitzgerald led the Cards’ receivers on 113 yards and a TD from eight grabs.
Over on the Baltimore side, they destroyed the Dolphins in Week 1, cruising to a 59-10 victory after posting a whopping 42 points in the first half alone.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson jumped out with 324 yards and five touchdowns, and Mark Ingram posted 107 yards with two rush TDs. Marquise Brown had 147 yards and two scores to lead the Baltimore receivers there.
The Cardinals are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games versus a team with a winning home record and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 in Week 2. The over is 4-0 in Arizona’ last four games on turf and 5-2 in their last seven road games.
Meanwhile, the Ravens are 4-1 ATS in their last five games in September and 5-2 ATS in their last seven in Week 2. Baltimore is 1-6 ATS in their last seven home games and 1-6 ATS in their last seven on turf.
The Cardinals were on track for a pretty disastrous debut, scoring just two field goals in the first three quarters in Week 1. They get some credit for the late comeback, but there’s still plenty of work to do in Arizona.
As for the Ravens, there’s really not much to complain about after drilling a bad Miami team. Baltimore should settle in a little bit here but with the spread at less than two touchdowns I’m still going Ravens.
