"Monday Night Football" gets to return to its roots as for one week at least it has the game of the week in the NFL for Week 10. The Seattle Seahawks (7-2) will head on down to Levi’s Stadium to take on the San Francisco 49ers (8-0). This game has the potential to reignite a rivalry that was epic to watch when Pete Carroll and Jim Harbaugh went head-to-head earlier this decade with a berth in the Super Bowl on the line.

The first half of the 2019 season has proven that there is never a dull moment when watching Seattle play against any level of opponent. Last week, the Seahawks outlasted Tampa Bay 40-34 in overtime. This game had everything with Russell Wilson throwing for 378 yards and five touchdowns. Wilson now has thrown 22 TD passes and just one interception after nine games. Chris Carson added 105 rushing yards on 16 carries against the NFL's No. 1-ranked rushing defense. Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf were lights out catching the football as they combined for 19 receptions, 275 yards, and three touchdowns. As for the defense, it was the same old song and dance, as Seattle gave Jameis Winston too much time in the pocket. As a result, Mike Evans lit up the Seahawks' secondary for 12 receptions, 180 yards, and a touchdown.

San Francisco was tested a little bit by Arizona last Thursday night before holding the Cardinals off 28-25. Jimmy Garoppolo was on point throwing the ball, finishing with 317 yards, four touchdowns, and most importantly, no turnovers. Emmanuel Sanders showed up with 112 receiving yards and a score. Tight end George Kittle also had a big day as he caught six passes for 79 yards and a touchdown but left the game late due to a knee injury. Linebacker Kwon Alexander also was lost for the season after suffering a torn left pectoral muscle. It will be interesting to see how the 49ers' defense responds without Alexander, who was viewed as the heart and soul of the unit.

Seattle at San Francisco

Kickoff: Monday, Nov. 11 at 8:15 p.m. ET

TV: ESPN

Spread: 49ers -6.5

Three Things to Watch

1. Seahawks' wide receivers vs. 49ers' secondary

After picking up Josh Gordon off waivers, Seattle has added another potentially dangerous weapon to the mix to go along with Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf. The Seahawks were the only team to put in a waiver claim on Gordon which is interesting because you would have thought that a struggling team like the Dolphins or someone else would have. Gordon has 20 receptions for 287 yards and a touchdown on the season during his time with New England. Now, the challenge for Seattle's receiving corps is making plays against San Francisco's secondary. The 49ers are No. 1 in the NFL with 138.1 passing yards per game allowed. Richard Sherman leads the team with three interceptions and he has been a nice leader for the younger defensive backs. It will be interesting to see how successful Lockett, Metcalf, and Gordon (assuming he plays, he's been limited in practice with an ankle injury) are in getting separation. If the Seahawks' pass catchers can't get open, it could lead to a long night for this offense.

2. 49ers' offense vs. Seattle defense

It is clear that San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan likes running the football with Matt Breida, Tevin Coleman and the rest of the backs on the roster. However, with the Seattle secondary having some issues and the defense's inability to pressure the quarterback one would expect to see Jimmy Garoppolo turned loose throwing the ball early in this game. The Seahawks currently rank 28th in the NFL against the pass (278.1 ypg, 28th in sacks per game (1.7), and 29th in sack percentage (4.2). If San Francisco's offensive line can take control of the line of scrimmage it will open up the entire playbook for the 49ers. Emmanuel Sanders will need to be a huge factor in this game with crossing and slant routes as Seattle has a tendency to play soft with their coverage to avoid the big play. George Kittle is considered Doubtful to play on Monday night, which will make things easier on Seattle's linebacking corps, which is the strength of the defense and is led by Bobby Wagner.

3. Battle of attrition

Both teams are battling some key injuries heading into this week’s showdown. Kittle likely won't play on Monday night after undergoing an MRI and missing practice due to knee and ankle injuries. Kicker Robbie Gould also is considered Doubtful after suffering a quadriceps injury earlier in the week and the 49ers signed Chase McLaughlin to replace him. The offensive line could get a boost if starting tackles Joe Staley and Mike McGlinchey, both listed as Questionable, are able to return. This could prove even more beneficial if Seattle's Jadeveon Clowney, who is battling a toe injury and has missed practice time but does not career an injury designation for this game, is limited. Left tackle Duane Brown also should play but how effective he will be is unknown as he's been battling a biceps and knee injury and only got in a limited practice session on Saturday. The Seahawks need their best offensive lineman to deal with San Francisco's fierce pass rush (30 sacks, third in the league), which is led by the likes of Nick Bosa, Arik Armstead, and Dee Ford.

Final Analysis

Home-field advantage should decide this one as San Francisco fans should be at a fever pitch on Monday night. Russell Wilson is an MVP candidate for a reason, and he will keep the Seahawks in this game until the end. However, the 49ers have the better defense and will find a way to get a key stop late in the second half to seal the victory to the NFL's lone undefeated team. The win will give San Francisco complete command of the NFC West heading into the home stretch of the season.

Two old AFC East rivals, the Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts, are meeting up on Sunday afternoon for old times' sake — and to play a little football. Last Sunday, when it rained, it poured for the Colts (5-3). Not only did they lose in Pittsburgh, 26-24, but they also lost their division lead, their starting quarterback and another receiver, and their Hall of Fame kicker missed another potential game-winner late in the fourth quarter. Frank Reich’s team couldn’t be more excited to welcome the woeful Dolphins to Indy this weekend.

The Dolphins (1-7) finally ended their 10-game losing streak and picked up their first W of the season with a 26-18 waxing of the just-as-hopeless Jets in Miami last Sunday. The win was extra sweet for Miami as former Dolphins head coach Adam Gase was patrolling the sidelines as the new man in charge of the Jets. Although the playoffs aren’t anywhere close to the Dolphins’ radar, Miami has an opportunity to string together back-to-back wins with a victory against a banged-up Colts team limping into this game.

Miami at Indianapolis

Kickoff: Sunday, Nov. 10 at 4:05 p.m. ET

TV: CBS

Spread: Indianapolis -10.5

Three Things to Watch

1. Indy injuries piling up

The Colts already know that they will be without their best offensive weapon, receiver T.Y. Hilton, for the next month with a calf injury, but the most troublesome injury question is the one surrounding starting quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who left last week’s contest against Pittsburgh in the second quarter with a sprained MCL in his left knee. Brissett’s status is still uncertain for Sunday against the Dolphins, but Reich is feeling optimistic that his starting QB might be able to give it a go. Whether Brissett should give it a try is a whole other question. With the one-win Dolphins coming to town and the capable Brian Hoyer (17-of-26, 3 TDs, INT vs. Pittsburgh) ready to go under center, should Reich rush back Brissett with a huge matchup looming next week against Jacksonville?

To make matters worse for the Indy offense, rookie receiver Parris Campbell has been ruled out with a broken hand, leaving tight end Jack Doyle (24 rec., 2 TDs) and running back Nyheim Hines (23 rec.) as the Colts' healthiest pass catchers, although second-year wideout Zach Pascal (16.9 ypr, 4 TDs) has emerged as a big-play target.

2. Is FitzMagic back?!

Journeyman quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, 36, is now on his eighth team in 15 NFL seasons. Everywhere he’s played, he’s been noticeably good at times but also noticeably less than stellar at others, and his tenure in Miami has been no different. Fitzpatrick began the season as the Dolphins starter, but after completing only 50 percent of his passes, throwing four interceptions and leading the Dolphins offense to 10 points in two games, Fitzpatrick was benched for youngster Josh Rosen. Rosen made it less than two games before getting benched in favor of Fitzpatrick — again.

Fitzpatrick has responded to his second chance by throwing seven touchdowns and posting a 95.3 rating, leading the Dolphins to 74 points in the last three-and-a-quarter games — nearly double the offensive output from their first three games. The Harvard grad had his best outing of the season (by far) last week against the Jets, throwing for 288 yards, three touchdowns and a 118.7 rating in the Fins' first win of the year.

This week, Fitzpatrick takes on a Colts passing defense that is decidedly middle of the road, ranking 15th in passing yards allowed per game, 16th in yards per attempt and 21st in QB rating allowed.

3. The GOAT is suddenly a goat

It’s rare that we mention kickers in Three Things to Watch, if ever, but this seems necessary. Adam Vinatieri is the greatest field-goal kicker that the game of football has ever seen, but his falloff in his 24th season has been noticeable. The 46-year-old Vinatieri has connected on only 12 of his 17 field-goal attempts this season, a career-low 70.6-percent success rate, and has missed five point-after attempts (14-of-19).

Two of the Colts’ three losses are directly tied to Vinatieri’s struggles. In Week 1 against the Chargers, he missed three kicks (two FGs, one PAT) and the Colts lost by six. Last week, Vinatieri missed what would have been a game-winning 46-yarder, hitting the laces and pulling the kick wide left. No chance.

After his Week 1 meltdown, Reich and the Colts stuck with their aging kicker, and they’re doing the same again after last week’s shank, calling the miss a "fluke" due to a bad hold. Whatever the excuse is, the Colts can ill afford too many more misses from the oldest player in the league, not with the AFC South on the line.

Final Analysis

No matter who starts for the Colts at quarterback on Sunday, a win against Miami should be all but certain — if the offensive line can regain its form. The last two weeks, Indy has allowed nine sacks after surrendering just seven in the first six games of the season. I’d expect a heavy, heavy dosage of running back Marlon Mack, especially if the hobbled Brissett gets the nod from Reich and the Colts’ training staff.

The Packers and Panthers are coming off two vastly different results last week as they meet in Green Bay on Sunday, and they will look much different than the last time they met. These two teams played in Charlotte just two years ago with the Panthers winning 31-24. Cam Newton had four touchdown passes in the win, while the Panthers' defense sacked Aaron Rodgers three times and picked him off three times. But Newton won't play in this game as he was placed on injured reserve earlier this week because of a lingering foot injury.

Carolina (5-3) has won five of its last six and is coming off a 30-20 home win over Tennessee in which Christian McCaffrey continued his recent tear at running back, and the defense made stops when it had to. There is more clarity at quarterback now too with the news that Newton is going on injured reserve; the job is Kyle Allen's for the rest of the season. That has to be a relief for Allen, who may have been looking over his shoulder waiting for the hook.

Meanwhile, Green Bay's offense failed miserably out in Los Angeles last week, losing 26-11 to the Chargers. The Packers were 2-of-10 on third downs and ran just 49 plays for 184 yards of total offense. It was a clunker for Rodgers, and the run game did absolutely nothing to help out. It was the second loss of the season, but the performance was a massive disappointment. Luckily for Green Bay (7-2), everyone in the NFC North lost, so the Packers remain a game up on the Vikings.

Carolina at Green Bay

Kickoff: Sunday, Nov. 10 at 4:25 p.m. ET

TV: FOX

Spread: Green Bay -5

Three Things to Watch

1. Intangibles

There are some things that need to be considered for this matchup. Carolina is playing its fifth road game in the last month and a half, which included a bye. Since Sept. 22, the Panthers have played just twice at home while having to travel to Arizona, Houston, San Francisco, and London. The Panthers are playing very good football right now and have a home game with the Falcons next, which starts a stretch of three of four against their division. On the other side, the Packers have their bye week up next. Normally that would be a bit of a concern, as teams this late look forward to their bye week, but I don't think focus will be an issue after the massive egg they laid on the West Coast.

2. Sleeper MVP candidate

We all know that the NFL's MVP award is essentially a quarterback of the year honor. That's why Christian McCaffrey is not getting the love he probably deserves. The running back leads the league with 1,244 total yards and 13 touchdowns. What's even more impressive is that he's doing it against stacked boxes, since the Panthers' passing attack doesn't really scare anyone. He's picked up over 100 yards on the ground five times with three efforts of 60 receiving yards or more as well. The only team to keep him out of the endzone was Tampa Bay back in Week 2 when he had just 53 yards of total offense. Green Bay's rush defense is towards the bottom of the league, allowing almost 128 yards per contest. In the Packers' loss to the Eagles earlier in the season, they let Philly push them around at home. They will have to make a concerted effort to stack the box and take their chances.

3. Blip on the radar?

There were a lot of reasons that Green Bay lost last Sunday. The Packers had just 11 rushes with 10 of those coming from their running backs. They need to maintain a healthy balance with Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams taking pressure off Aaron Rodgers. Jones was coming off a 200-yard effort against Kansas City the week before, so it was odd that he received so few touches. Rodgers' wide receiving corps got a boost with the return of Davante Adams from injury. He had seven catches against the Chargers, but once again, it was a lack of a WR2 that hurt. Allen Lazard and Geronimo Allison combined for five catches on six targets with Marquez Valdes-Scantling being shut out. Finally, it seemed like the signal-caller was constantly under siege, getting sacked three times and constantly feeling pressured. Carolina's defense is no joke with a league-leading 34 sacks in just eight games, so the offensive line has to tighten up.

Final Analysis

The Packers are the better team, and they'll be really motivated after last week's loss in Los Angeles. Carolina is playing good football right now with their offense succeeding despite an anemic passing attack for a lot of the year. I think Green Bay comes out fast and puts up points early. If they get out to a big enough lead, then Kyle Allen will have to beat them, and I don't know if he can do that through the air. All will be well in Green Bay after this one.

Prediction: Packers 24, Panthers 17

Watch NFL Los Angeles Rams vs Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday Night Football Week 10 Free Online Live Streaming ,November 10, 2019.

Watch NFL Sunday Night Football Los Angeles Rams vs Pittsburgh Steelers 2019 NFL Week 10 online free live streaming high quality(HD) broadcast on Sunday,November 10 ,2019 at 4:25 p.m. ET. Watch NFL Los Angeles Rams vs Pittsburgh Steelers free live stream online match on any device .You can follow to Watch Los Angeles Rams vs Pittsburgh Steelers free live streaming from here details below.

The Los Angeles Rams and Pittsburgh Steelers were two top-tier NFL teams left for dead a month ago. Since then, the Rams have won two straight after a 3-3 start that threatened to tag the defending NFC Champs with the dreaded Super Bowl hangover label. Jared Goff has recovered from a shaky start, having his best game of the year two weeks ago in London. Cooper Kupp continues to soar to new heights after an ACL injury sidelined him much of last season.

The Steelers have been just as impressive, climbing to 4-4 after a 1-4 start during which they lost their top two quarterbacks at one point along with running back James Conner. Ben Roethlisberger remains out for the season with an elbow injury, leaving a leadership void that can’t be filled. But backup signal-caller Mason Rudolph is back and getting more comfortable with the offense each week. He got a boost in the form of safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, whose 96-yard interception return made the difference in a 26-24 upset of the Indianapolis Colts last weekend. Trading for Fitzpatrick has kept this team in the postseason hunt.

Unfortunately, only one of these franchises can keep its momentum rolling in what’s easily one of the best games in the NFL this weekend. There’s little margin for error here in terms of playoff positioning; both play in divisions that already seem out of reach. Even a win leaves the Steelers 1.5 games behind the surging Ravens, while a win by the Rams could still leave them three games behind the as-of-now undefeated 49ers.

But a wild card slot still seems like a strong possibility for both. Who can take the next step forward in their 2019 NFL rehabilitation?

Los Angeles at Pittsburgh

Kickoff: Sunday, Nov. 10 at 4:25 p.m. ET

TV: FOX

Spread: Rams -3.5

Three Things To Watch

1. Who can step up in the Pittsburgh offense without James Conner?

The Steelers are really hurting without Conner, who failed to practice Thursday with a shoulder injury and appears set to miss a second straight week. Jaylen Samuels, who gained just 10 yards on eight carries against the Colts, is one of just two healthy running backs on the roster. Former Oregon running back Tony Brooks-James, who made his NFL debut last Sunday, is a virtual unknown but may find himself as the change-of-pace back with Trey Edmunds (ribs) also expected to sit out.

The Rams were already tough against the run, allowing 96.9 yards per game (8th in the NFL). There’s hope to break through — the winless Bengals eked out 104 yards and 4.7 yards per carry against them in London — but the Steelers simply lack the horses.

Where Conner’s absence hurts the most is in the passing game, especially for a new quarterback in Rudolph looking to find his footing. He dumped to Samuels 13 times against the Colts, the most any Steelers player has been targeted in a game this season. I’d expect a similar workload against the Rams, and there needs to be a higher yardage output (Samuels averaged less than six yards per pass play) in order for them to push forward offensively.

The other key this weekend will be whether JuJu Smith-Schuster can beat double coverage. He followed up a five-catch, 103-yard performance with a dud last week against the Colts (three receptions, 16 yards). Smith-Schuster was given the keys to this receiving corps after Antonio Brown left the team this offseason. Certainly, losing a superstar alongside him has been an adjustment; opposing defenses have been able to key in on him. He’s also adjusting to a new offensive rhythm at the same time.

But any superstar expected to fill Brown’s shoes needs to break through those obstacles. These are the type of games the Steelers need Smith-Schuster to show up in to win.

2. Will Jared Goff build on his London performance?

Goff has appeared to shake off an early-season slump during this recent two-game winning streak. He’s had a four-touchdown, no-interception, turnover-free stretch while throwing for 640 yards. The Bengals game produced a season-high QB rating of 119.8 as Goff picked apart their secondary with ease, connecting with Cooper Kupp for a career-high 220 yards receiving.

Problem is, the Goff surge came against two teams with a combined record of 1-15. The Steelers and their defense pose a much stiffer challenge, and Goff will be without a key weapon: receiver Brandin Cooks (concussion protocol). If the Steelers defense and Fitzpatrick succeed in taking away Kupp as an option, Goff will need to find an alternative. Robert Woods? He’s had two catches or fewer in two out of the last three games. Tight end Gerald Everett? He had two catches for 15 yards in London. That won’t be enough.

3. Turnover margin

The Steelers defense has been successful because of one simple strength: takeaways. Their total of 22 ranks second in the NFL, and they’ve had an interception in six straight games. No team has been immune to their success; the undefeated 49ers had to fight through five turnovers to win against them in Week 3.

Can Fitzpatrick continue to lead the charge? He’s not the only one. T.J. Watt is doing a fine imitation of his sidelined Pro Bowl brother J.J. with 7.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, and an interception. Linebacker Devin Bush has two interceptions of his own along with four fumble recoveries and a sack. It’s become a well-rounded unit that understands the importance of creating points of its own with the offense wounded.

Final Analysis

It’s the Rams who enter this game with more to prove. The onus is on Goff to avoid turnovers and keep the Steelers defense from energizing the home crowd. If he can continue to manage the game well, his team will come out on top.

If not? Rudolph and the Steelers will continue to rebuild their foundation in what’s becoming one of Mike Tomlin’s best coaching jobs of his career.

A pair of teams jockeying for playoff positioning in the NFC will square off when the Minnesota Vikings meet the Dallas Cowboys the Week 10 edition of "Sunday Night Football."

The Cowboys (5-3) have had an interesting start to the 2019 season. After opening with three straight wins they dropped three in a row before righting the ship and have now won their past two games. During that span, they have outscored their opponents, both divisional rivals, a surprising 74-28.

The Vikings (6-3), on the other hand, were on a four-game winning streak of their own before a crushing 26-23 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday. Minnesota led 23-20 with less than 11 minutes left in the game but Matt Moore, playing in place of an injured Patrick Mahomes, orchestrated two drives in the final 2:30 that led to a pair of Harrison Butker field goals, the last being a 44-yarder as time expired.

Minnesota at Dallas

Kickoff: Sunday, Nov. 10 at 8:20 p.m. ET

Spread: Dallas -3

Three Things to Watch

1. The health of Leighton Vander Esch

There were a lot of people who felt like the Cowboys reached when they selected Vander Esch, a linebacker from Boise State, in the first round (19th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft. Those people ended up being completely wrong.

As a rookie, the 6-foot-4, 255-pound headhunter racked up a franchise-record 140 tackles to go along with seven pass deflections and two interceptions. His second season has not been as productive, but he is still considered one of the best young linebackers in the game.

Unfortunately, Vander Esch was forced to miss the Monday night game due to a neck/stringer injury. He's back to being a limited participant in practice, which is a good sign, but his health is something to monitor as Dallas attempts to slow down Minnesota running back Dalvin Cook.

2. Dalvin Cook vs. Dallas front seven

Speaking of Cook, his matchup against the front seven for the Cowboys will be one of the more intriguing of this game. In nine games, the former second-round pick has rushed for 894 yards, which leads the NFL, and nine touchdowns (second in the league behind Christian McCaffrey).

Dallas, on the other hand, has fielded one of the league’s best run defenses. On the season, the Cowboys have only given up 748 yards, good for eighth in that category. The addition of a player like newly-acquired defensive lineman Michael Bennett should only add to the depth up front. That depth is even more important as long as Vander Esch is limited by the neck injury.

Be sure to keep an eye on Cook and his success — or potential lack thereof. If the Cowboys can force the Vikings to be one-dimensional on offense, it could certainly bode well for their chances of winning their third straight game.

3. Dan Bailey's return to AT&T Stadium

If you were to ask the average Cowboys fan about the best kicker in franchise history, most would say it was Bailey.

The 31-year-old spent seven seasons in Dallas and made 186 of his 211 field goal attempts (88.2 percent). The last two seasons, however, Bailey has spent in Minnesota as a member of the Vikings.

His first season did not yield great results (21-of-28 FGs, 75.0 percent), but the Oklahoma State product seems to be bouncing back nicely in Year 2 with the team. So far, Bailey has hit 13 of his 15 field goal attempts (86.7 percent). But he has missed two extra points this season already, which already ties a career-high.

It will be fun to see him make a return trip to Dallas to take on his former team on Sunday night.

Final Analysis

The home-away splits for the Vikings have been more than noticeable this season. While the team is 4-0 inside U.S. Bank Stadium, they’re only 2-3 on the road. In those three losses, they’ve only been outscored 63-45, which is an average difference of only six points per game.

With the way Dallas is playing, it is likely that the Vikings will drop another game on the road, but it will be close. That three-point Vegas line makes a lot of sense in this one, so we are going to use it.

Prediction: Cowboys 27, Vikings 23

The battle to emerge from the basement of the NFC North will commence Sunday when the Chicago Bears host the Detroit Lions at Soldier Field. A playoff spot is a long shot for both teams at the moment, but they both want to climb out of the division cellar.

Both teams got off to promising starts but have tapered off since then. The Bears (3-5) have lost four straight after a 3-1 start, and they're experiencing issues on both sides of the ball. The Lions (3-4-1), on the other hand, began the season with a three-game unbeaten streak (2-0-1) only to see things go in the other direction since.

With both teams looking to get back on track, this could wind up being another classic "black and blue" divisional showdown.

Three Things to Watch

1. The Bears' offense is stalling

The most surprising component of last year's Bears team has become its worst enemy this year. The regression of 2017's No. 2 overall draft pick Mitchell Trubisky has been painful to watch. The raw numbers (63.0 completion percentage, 1,217 passing yards, 5 TDs) are deceiving; Trubisky has taken 17 sacks, and he's averaging just 5.6 yards per attempt and 180.4 passing yards per game (31st in the league) with a 34.1 QBR. Trubisky gets rattled in the pocket, he's hesitant to attempt the big throws, and at times he looks confused in his decision making.

Wide receivers Allen Robinson (47 catches, 532 yards, 3 TDs), Taylor Gabriel (17 catches, 238 yards, 3 TDs), and Anthony Miller (16 catches, 211 yards) have made the most of their chances during Trubisky's struggles. Running backs David Montgomery (133 receiving yards) and Tarik Cohen (193 receiving yards, 1 TD) have also lent a hand in the passing game, but the tight end position continues to be problematic. Trey Burton, Adam Shaheen, Ben Braunecker, and J.P. Holtz have managed to collectively produce only 205 yards on 27 catches. Head coach Matt Nagy prides himself on the passing game, but right now that just isn't working.

The Bears have all of the tools needed to have a strong run game, but Nagy just hasn't used them. Montgomery is the team's leading rusher (112 carries, 406 yards, 5 TDs), but the Bears have posted just 241 rushing yards in their last three games combined and are averaging 80.5 yards per game (27th in the NFL). Tarik Cohen (26 carries, 63 yards) has been invisible, while wide receiver/return specialist Cordarrelle Patterson is second on the team in rushing yards (78) and leads the team in yards per carry (6.5). Calling more run plays and bringing necessary balance to this offense can help take pressure off of both Trubisky and an offensive line that's given up 22 sacks.

2. The Bears' defense misses Akiem Hicks

Since losing Hicks to an elbow injury against the Raiders in London five weeks ago, the Bears have registered only six sacks, while each of their opponents has thrown for 200 or more yards against them during this stretch. Hicks' absence from the run defense has also been felt, as the Bears have surrendered 502 yards and six touchdowns on the ground during this four-game skid. The Bears were hoping that Bilal Nichols and Eddie Goldman would fill the void, but both players have struggled. Nichols has been playing with a broken hand, while Goldman has been dealing with a hamstring issue. During this losing streak, Goldman and Nichols have combined for just 16 tackles, one sack, two tackles for a loss, and one QB hit. This team must find a way to get pressure until Hicks returns for the latter part of the season.

3. The Matthew Stafford show

With the Lions still struggling to run the ball (96 rushing yards per game, 286 total in the last four), Stafford's golden arm continues to lead the way for Detroit. He's posted three straight 300-yard efforts with a combined 10:2 touchdown-to-interception ratio in his last three games. Rest assured that Stafford is licking his chops about the opportunity to take advantage of this struggling Bears team, especially since the Lions are averaging 25.5 points per game. Perhaps Detroit will try to run the ball more considering Chicago's difficulties in that department these last few weeks.

Final Analysis

Short and simple: Unless the Bears can get their offense going, and unless they can rediscover their run defense and keep the Lions' offense one-dimensional, Chicago is looking at a fifth consecutive loss.

Prediction: Lions 20, Bears 13

Top meets bottom when the Ravens and Bengals battle at Paul Brown Stadium in Ohio. Kickoff for this best versus worst AFC North Division battle is 1:00 p.m. EST on Sunday. Bettors need to decide on another large Week 10 spread here.

Spread: Ravens -10 (-110), Bengals +10.0 (-110)

Moneyline: Ravens -500, Bengals +375

Total: OVER 45.5 (-110), UNDER 45.5 (-110)

Running hot, Baltimore (6-2) has rattled off four straight wins. That includes a 37-20 blitz of New England at M&T Bank Stadium last week. With a two-game lead on Pittsburgh in the AFC North, the Ravens (+450) sit third behind the Chiefs (+400) and Patriots (-110) to win the AFC Championship.

Ravens' Betting Record: ATS 3-4-1 OVER/UNDER 5-3-0

Ravens' Leaders on Offense

QB Lamar Jackson: 1,813 pass yards with 12 TD and 5 INT

RB Mark Ingram: 710 total yards with 7 TD

*WR Marquise Brown: 374 receiving yards with 3 TD

TE: Mark Andrews: 470 receiving yards with 3 TD

* Returned last week after missing two games

Bengals' Season to Date

Rested after a bye, the Bengals (0-8) are the only winless NFL team left. Cincinnati will start rookie QB Ryan Finley (NC State) who was selected 104th in the 2019 NFL draft. It’s strange that QB Andy Dalton is heading to the bench just as WR A.J. Green is expected to make his first start of the season.

Bengals' Betting Record: ATS 3-5-0 OVER/UNDER 2-5-1

Cincinnati Bengals Leaders on Offense

QB: Ryan Finley makes his first career start

RB: Joe Mixon 430 total yards with 3 TD

WR Tyler Boyd: 536 receiving yards with 1 TD

TE: Tyler Eifert: 192 receiving yards with 1 TD

Recent History Favors Cincinnati Over Baltimore

These teams met in Week 6 with Cincinnati losing 23-17 on the road in Baltimore. Last season, the Bengals defeated the Ravens 34-23 at home in Week 2 before losing 24-21 in Baltimore during Week 11. Cincinnati has covered the spread in the last four meetings between these squads.

Ravens vs. Bengals Final Thoughts and Pick

Lamar Jackson posted 116 of the 199 rushing yards that Baltimore racked up against a solid Patriots run defense last week. Now the Ravens face a Bengals squad that leads the NFL with 177.6 rushing yards allowed per game. Expect Jackson, plus running backs Mark Ingram and Gus Edwards, to run wild.

After allowing 33 and 40 points to the Chiefs and Browns in Weeks 3 and 4 respectively, the Baltimore defense has given up 19 PPG over their last four matches. With a rookie pivot under center, we can’t see Cincinnati scoring much here. Take the Ravens to win big in a bashing of the Bengals.

Pick: Ravens -10

Mayfield was drafted first overall in the 2018 NFL Draft and Allen went six spots later to the Bills.

But the Browns have stumbled out to a disappointing 2-6 start, while the Bills have been the surprise of the league at 6-2 at the halfway point of the season. Mayfield’s regressed a bit after a dynamic rookie season and Allen has taken steps forward as a passer in his sophomore campaign. Allen’s completion percentage is up almost 10 points from his rookie season (60.9 percent) and his 10 touchdowns to seven interceptions is a much better ratio than his rookie season (10 passing touchdowns to 12 interceptions).

Even with the Browns underperforming, it’s still an intriguing match up. The Bills are seeking just their second playoff appearance this century and are positioned to make a serious run at a wildcard spot or, gasp, even compete for the division title with the New England Patriots (Buffalo is just a game back). But to make some noise in the division the Bills are going to have to win games like Sunday against a sub-.500 team that’s dealing with dysfunction and questions about the moves they made to improve their roster in the offseason.

It’s hard to believe but the Bills are completely healthy entering Week 10. There’s not a single player questionable, doubtful or ruled out for this game. That means that both offensive coordinator Brian Daboll and defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier will have their full compliment of playmakers on both sides of the ball to attack the Browns.

On the offensive side of the ball, Allen and the Bills go up against the Browns’ sixth-ranked passing defense. Cleveland is allowing just 216.2 passing yards per game but has been suspect when it comes to scoring. Teams have passed for 16 touchdowns against Cleveland this season.

The Bills ran the ball 39 times last week against Washington and rookie running back Devin Singletary earned the bulk of the work - and he took advantage of his opportunity. He ran it 20 times for 95 yards and a touchdown; then he added three catches for 45 yards through the air. The Browns are allowing an eye-popping 141.2 rushing yards per game and that may be an area that Daboll is able to exploit.

You go into the week and you have a plan, and that plan kind of adjusts as you go,” Daboll said this week. “I thought the line did a good job (against Washington) of moving the line of scrimmage, receivers did a good job in the run game, (running) backs found the lanes.”

The Bills run defense will get quite a test when it does up against Browns back Nick Chubb, who’s the NFL’s fifth-leading rusher. Cleveland also gets back running back Kareem Hunt, who served the entirety of his suspension and could add a wrinkle into the prep work Buffalo has to do to get ready for the Browns’ rushing attack.

Both the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints will be coming off of a bye and ready to embark on the second half of their schedules when they meet Sunday in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. But that's pretty much where the similarities end for the NFC South rivals, as the Saints (7-1) have the second-best record in the NFC, thanks to a six-game winning streak, while the Falcons (1-7) have lost six in a row and could be on the verge of an organizational shakeup.

Widespread public speculation regarding Atlanta head coach Dan Quinn's job status has circulated for weeks now, but owner Arthur Blank did not make a change during the bye week. Instead, Quinn shuffled his coaching staff so he remains in charge of an injury-riddled defense and an ineffective offense for the time being.

New Orleans used the bye week to rest and recover and should be as close to full strength as it has been since Week 1. The Saints currently enjoy a two-game lead in the NFC South but still have five divisional games left, including Sunday's.

This marks the 100th regular-season meeting between these teams, who also have met once in the playoffs. The Falcons lead the all-time series, 52-48, but the Saints have won the past three matchups. Saints head coach Sean Payton has a 17-7 record against Atlanta during his tenure in New Orleans.

Atlanta at New Orleans

Kickoff: Sunday, Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. ET

TV: FOX

Spread: Saints -13.5

Three Things to Watch

1. Welcome back Alvin Kamara
After missing the past two games because of knee and ankle injuries, no one needed the bye week more than Kamara. A limited participant in practice on Wednesday, Kamara put in full sessions on Thursday and Friday and carries no injury designation heading into this game. So barring a setback between now and kickoff, he should be good to go.

Even though Kamara has missed two games and been limited in a few others, New Orleans has still been able to run the ball fairly effectively. The Saints are averaging 114.3 rushing yards per game, which puts them 15th in the league. The production actually picked up in the two games Kamara missed, as Latavius Murray and others were able to generate 144 yards on the ground per contest with three rushing touchdowns.

So while Kamara will no doubt reclaim his role as the feature back, head coach Sean Payton knows he has other options to turn to and said that Kamara's load could depend on the opponent. Murray has produced back-to-back 100-yard efforts, while Taysom Hill and Dwayne Washington also did their parts in the wins over Chicago and Arizona.

Regardless of who might carry the ball for the Saints, they should not find too much resistance from Atlanta. The Falcons have allowed 118.4 rushing yards per game, ranking 21st in the league. They have also surrendered nine rushing touchdowns in eight games, which is tied for eighth-worst.

2. Will the Falcons’ defense manage to slow down Drew Brees and company?

As susceptible as Atlanta has been to the run, the Falcons have fared even worse against the pass. They have given up 261.1 passing yards per game, 23rd in the league. Opponents are averaging 12.0 yards per completion, and Atlanta has given up 19 touchdown passes to just two interceptions. That's why Dan Quinn shifted assistant coach Raheem Morris from wide receivers to defensive backs during the bye week.

Despite Drew Brees’ absence for most of the season, New Orleans’ passing attack has remained potent. Saints quarterbacks have combined for an average of 261.0 passing yards per game, 10th highest in the league. They have also combined for 12 touchdowns and just five interceptions.

Atlanta needs to force turnovers to keep Brees and his offense from dominating this game. That's easier said than done, as New Orleans is in the top 10 in the NFL in turnover differential (+3) thanks to committing the second-fewest giveaways (six). In contrast, the Falcons are second-to-last in turnover margin (-11) since the defense has generated just four takeaways.

3. Are the Falcons capable of protecting Matt Ryan?

With the numerous injuries to key players, Atlanta still must put a priority on keeping their quarterback upright. Ryan missed the Falcons' previous game because of a high ankle sprain, putting an end to his streak of 154 consecutive starts. Ryan was limited in practice this week but Quinn pronounced his quarterback "ready" to play Sunday.

Pass protection will be a key for Atlanta on Sunday, as Ryan has already been sacked 19 times and injured his ankle on one of them. Overall, the Falcons' offensive line has given up 60 quarterback hits, which is the fifth most of any team. That could be a problem against a New Orleans defense that has 24 sacks (10th) and has been credited with 49 quarterback hurries (second). If Atlanta wants to have any chance of staying in this game, it starts with giving Ryan enough time to throw the ball.

Final Analysis

The Falcons languish in the cellar of the NFC South. They find themselves only half a game ahead of the Redskins for last place in the NFC. Barring a miraculous run of winning at least seven of their eight remaining games, the Falcons have no chance of winning the division. Even if they accomplished that feat, they would need the Saints to lose seven or more contests. Atlanta has no real motivation other than playing the role of spoiler.

At the halfway point of the season, the Saints lead the NFC South by two games. They trail the 49ers by one game for the top seed in the NFC standings. They have a half-game lead over the Packers for the second seed and all-important first-round bye. New Orleans cannot afford to relax, but the Saints will not need to exert much energy in this matchup.

Prediction: Saints 41, Falcons 10

Ever since Daniel Jones’ monumental debut against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers all the way back in Week 3, not much has gone right for the Giants, on the football field, nor in terms of betting.

The Giants are 0-5 SU, and just 1-4 ATS over their last five games. The Giants will be fighting an uphill battle on Sunday as they will once again be short-handed in terms of offensive playmakers. Wide receiver Sterling Shepard and mismatch nightmare Evan Engram have been ruled out for the contest due to injury. They aren’t the only starters the G-Men will be missing this week, as Center Jon Halapio will miss the game with a back injury, while right tackle Mike Remmers was held out of practice all week and his playing status is currently up in the air.

The Giants do have some odds in their favor as they are 6-3 ATS in their last nine games against AFC East opponents, and 4-1-1 ATS in their last six meetings with the Jets specifically.

The Jets have been absolutely abysmal offensively for the majority of this season. Their 12 points per game are tied for the worst average amongst all 32 NFL teams. Since Sam Darnold’s infamous “seeing ghosts” quote he’s averaged just 188 passing yards and totaled just three touchdowns and an eye-popping eight interceptions.

The Jets did get some good news on Saturday, as it was announced that running back Le’Veon Bell will indeed take the field on Sunday despite carrying a questionable tag for the majority of the week. They will, however, be without middle linebacker CJ Mosley as he will miss his seventh game over the last eight weeks as he continues to battle a groin injury.

The Jets have won just one game SU over their last 11 contests overall, they’ve fared just as poorly against the Giants of late. The Jets are just 1-5 SU vs. the Giants in their last six games when they are deemed the home team.

The Giants simply seem like the safer bet of two struggling teams. The loss of CJ Mosley in the middle of the Jets defense is a major blow for the team. In return, they can expect a heavy workload of Saquon Barkley as the Giants attempt to attack a weakness of their opponent’s while also offsetting the loss of two of their top pass-catchers.

The Arizona Cardinals travel to the state of Florida this weekend for a game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  In their last game, the Cardinals were defeated by the San Francisco 49ers by the score of 28-25 in what was a much closer game than what many fans had expected.  Arizona quarterback Kyler Murray continued what has been a solid rookie year as he completed 17 of 24 passes for 241 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Murray also ran 5 times for 34 yards.  Newly acquired Kenyan Drake carried the ball 15 times in route to rushing for 110 yards and scoring a touchdown in his first game with Arizona.  Keesean Johnson caught one of Murray’s touchdown passes and as he caught 2 passes for 22 yards on the day.   Wide receiver Andy Isabella led the Cardinals in receiving yards on the day, although he only caught 1 pass, it was good enough for 88 yards and a touchdown.

On the year the Cardinals are 3-5-1 but will be looking to get closer to the .500 mark after a game against Tampa Bay.  Kyler Murray has lived up to his dual threat potential that he showed at Oklahoma as he has thrown the ball well this season for 2,229 yards, 9 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.  Murray is also the Cardinals leading rusher and has ran 56 times for 313 yards and 2 touchdowns on the season.  The ageless wonder Larry Fitzgerald has been Arizona’s lead receiver once against this season as he has caught 42 passes for 485 yards and 2 touchdowns.  The Cardinals enter Sunday’s game with 5 players listed on their injury report as Zach Allen, Chase Edmonds, David Johnson and Justin Murray are all listed as out while Clinton McDonald is listed as questionable.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers welcome the Arizona Cardinals to town after returning from Seattle where they were defeated by the Seahawks last Sunday by the score of 40-34 in overtime.  Jameis Winston has one of his best games on the season under center for the Bucs and to the surprise of many, didn’t throw an interception.  On the day Winston completed 29 of 44 passes for 335 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Tampa Bay wide receiver Mike Evans caught 12 passes for 180 yards and a touchdown.  Ronald Jones II has one of his most productive games out of the backfield for the Bucs and led the team in rushing, carrying the ball 18 times for 67 yards and a touchdown.

The Bucs are now 2-6 on the season, including a home record of 0-3.  On the year, Winston has thrown for 2,407 yards, 16 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.  Ronald Jones II has been Tampa Bay’s leading rusher and has carried the ball 92 times for 381 yards and 3 touchdowns.  Wide receiver Mike Evans has benefited most from Tampa Bay’s pass heavy offense and has 50 receptions for 812 yards and 7 touchdowns.  The Buccaneers enter Sunday’s game with 5 players on their injury report as Carlton Davis, Anthony Nelson, Carl Nassib and Antony Auclair are listed as questionable while O.J. Howard is listed as out.

On the year, the Cardinals are scoring 21.7 points per game and allowing 27.9 points per game.  Meanwhile, the Bucs are scoring 28.8 points per game while allowing 31.5 points per game.  What will be interesting to see this weekend is how Kyler Murray gets his yards on the ground against a team like Tampa Bay who is allowing just 78.1 yards per game on the ground, if he is unable to get going, it will all be up to his throwing abilities.  Tampa Bay has averaged 300.9 yards per game through the air this season while Arizona has allowed 247.7 passing yards per game.  I believe Tampa Bay will have just enough defense to pull the win out in this one.  Tampa Bay wins 31-28 but Arizona covers the spread.

It was 24 days ago that Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes left the field following an injury to his right knee. The reigning NFL MVP and league-leader in multiple statistical categories was central to Kansas City’s Super Bowl aspirations, and for many teams, his departure would signal the end of those lofty goals.

The Chiefs, however, are not like most.

Kansas City held on to defeat the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football after losing Mahomes in the first half behind veteran quarterback Matt Moore, who went on to lead the Chiefs within a score of the Green Bay Packers a week later and to a victory over the Minnesota Vikings last Sunday.

Moore was steady and reliable for Kansas City, compiling a 105.5 passer rating over the course of his two starts while keeping the Chiefs competitive throughout despite the immense responsibility that comes along with filling in for the league’s best player.

Kansas City’s championship dreams are still very much alive because of Moore and the rest of the roster’s ability to pull together through adversity – notably the improved play by the defense of late. It’s the mark of a great team, rallying through the tough times rather than wilting under the circumstances.

And now about a month since perhaps this season’s defining moment took place on that critical night in Denver, the news fans throughout Chiefs Kingdom have been waiting for was finally delivered on Friday.

Mahomes is back.

“Unless something happens here, he'll be the guy that plays,” said Head Coach Andy Reid. “You can go whatever direction you want to go with it. I'm going to see how he did after this practice, but right now, that's what it looks like.

Barring any setbacks, Mahomes will return to action on Sunday when the Chiefs take on the Tennessee Titans in Nashville. It’s mammoth news for Kansas City as the final seven weeks of the season come into focus and their Super Bowl goals remain very real.

And while the injury sidelined Mahomes for some time physically, his mentality remains unshaken.

“I’m still in a great spot. We played two great games these last two weeks and the team played awesome defense, special teams played well, and Matt went in and played very well,” Mahomes said. “For me, I just stayed into it. I think you all could see me on the sideline, I was just as into the game as if I was playing, and I’m glad to be back out there with the guys.

In those three starts, Tannehill – a former first-round pick himself – has thrown for 836 yards, six touchdowns and just three interceptions while completing more than 70 percent of his passes. He’s led Tennessee to as many wins in his three weeks of action as Mariota did in twice as many games, and the 31-year-old Tannehill has yet to lose at home.

After struggling in his final few seasons as a Miami Dolphin, Tannehill seems to – at least so far – have resurrected his career with Tennessee.

“I’ve always thought he was a really good football player. He’s a really good athlete. We can’t just think that this is a quarterback who sits there and throws it, he can really extend the play and give you some headaches,” said Defensive Coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. “I don’t consider him a backup quarterback that’s now starting, he was a starter for a long time, so we’re going to approach it that way.

Thursday night's matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Oakland Raiders is a de facto playoff game, as both teams are looking up at the division-leading Chiefs in the AFC West. The Raiders (4-4) held on last Sunday for a white-knuckle win against a stingy Lions team in a game in which Oakland rookies scored all four touchdowns. After being away from the Bay Area since Week 2, the Raiders hope their current three-game homestand can be the catalyst that throws them back into the playoff race.

The Chargers (4-5) played their most complete game of the season last week, dominating the Packers 26-11 in front of a pro-Green Bay crowd in Los Angeles. Before beating Green Bay, the Chargers had dropped three of their last four, their disappointing season slipping away. Now the Bolts have won two in a row and will try to knock off the Raiders, as they begin their own playoff push with a much-needed road win on Thursday.

Los Angeles at Oakland

Kickoff: Thursday, Nov. 7 at 8:20 p.m. ET

TV: FOX/NFL Network

Spread: Oakland -1.5

Three Things to Watch

1. Josh Jacobs

Jacobs' huge performance against the Lions was his third 100-yard game in his last four tries, solidly putting him ahead of the pack for Offensive Rookie of the Year and in the top-10 of the league in rushing attempts, yards, rushing touchdowns, and yards per game. On Thursday, he will square up against a Chargers’ defense that found its groove last week against Green Bay, holding the Packers to just 45 yards on the ground. As a whole, the Chargers’ run defense has been a bottom-third unit, giving up 114 yards per contest and 1,027 yards total this season. Jacobs has a great opportunity Sunday to distance himself from not only the great Marcus Allen but the mediocre Chargers defense.

2. A little help for Mr. Bosa?

In limiting Green Bay to just 84 total yards in the first three quarters, the Chargers had their best defensive performance of the season last week against the Packers. The LAC defense kept Aaron Rodgers to just 161 yards passing and a comically dismal 13.2 QBR. The Chargers’ front seven dominated the line of scrimmage, never allowing Rodgers to get comfortable and sacking him three times, as Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram III each recorded 1.5 sacks.

While their performance last week was outstanding, the question remains if can the Chargers do it again and get to the elusive Derek Carr. Outside of Bosa (8.5 sacks), the Chargers aren’t known for their pass rush, ranking 17th in sacks this season with 21. Bosa is the only player with more than two-and-a-half sacks. This week, the Chargers will line up against a short-handed but effective Raiders’ offensive line, a unit that ranks second in sacks allowed (9) and first in QB hits allowed (16).

3. No rest for the weary

Offensive linemen are the most overlooked and underappreciated part of a football team, at least to the general public. There are no fantasy points for offensive linemen. But in reality, there may not be a more important unit on a team than the offensive line. A great offensive line can make a journeyman quarterback look like Troy Aikman and a rookie running back look like Emmitt Smith by keeping opposing front-sevens at bay.

This season, the Raiders’ O-line has been one of the best in the business, keeping Carr clean and clearing the way for Jacobs. But on a short week, and short-handed, the Raiders' hog mollies may face their toughest test of the season. Last week, Oakland was without starting right tackle Trent Brown and starting center Rodney Hudson. Both were replaced seamlessly by undrafted rookie center Andre James and backup tackle David Sharpe, as the Raiders' front line cleared the way for 171 rushing yards while allowing just one sack. Head coach Jon Gruden has yet to commit whether either Brown or Hudson will be ready to go on a short week, but if they can’t, the Raiders’ patchwork offensive line will certainly have their hands full slowing down the explosive Bosa coming off the edge.

Final Analysis

It's rare that a "Thursday Night Football" game actually turns into the best or most important game of the week, but this Chargers-Raiders matchup could be the outlier, as playoff implications become ever more vital. Both teams come into this game with their warts and their highlights and are almost equal across the board in most team stats, so it will come down to who can make a play at the right time. Give me the future Hall of Famer Philip Rivers and the Bolts to win their third in a row in a close, ugly one.

Prediction: Chargers 19, Raiders 17

The Dallas Cowboys will travel to take on the New York Giants for "Monday Night Football" in Week 9. These two teams opened the season against each other with the Cowboys walking away with a sound 35-17 victory at home.

Dallas (4-3) is coming off of its bye and hoping to fare better than the last time it was in MetLife Stadium. The Jets stunned the Cowboys with a 24-22 loss in Week 6. The Giants (2-6) have lost four in a row since evening their record at 2-2.

So will the result be the same this time around? That remains to be seen, but regardless, this NFC East matchup has several interesting storylines to follow.

Dallas at New York

Kickoff: Monday, Nov. 4 at 8:15 p.m. ET

TV: ESPN

Spread: Dallas -7

Three Things to Watch

1. New players making their debuts

Prior to the Oct. 29 trade deadline, both the Cowboys and the Giants made moves to improve the depth and quality of their defensive fronts.

Dallas sent a 2021 conditional seventh-round pick, which could turn into a sixth-rounder, to the New England Patriots in order to acquire former long-time Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Michael Bennett. The 33-year old had 63 sacks through his first 10 seasons in the NFL, and his ability to play inside or out could make him a versatile piece for the Cowboys.

New York, on the other hand, took a much more youthful approach, parting with a third-round pick in 2020 and a fifth-round selection in 2021 in exchange for New York Jets defensive lineman Leonard Williams. The No. 3 overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft may not ever live up to draft position, but he can be an impactful player in the right defense.

It will be interesting to see how both players come along with their new teams.

2. Saquon Barkley vs. Ezekiel Elliott

In the modern NFL, seeing a running back selected in the top five of the draft is not a common practice. With that being said, these two teams playing on Monday night have made that bold move, and so far, it has paid off for both.

In 47 games since being drafted fourth overall in the 2016 NFL Draft, Elliott has rushed for 4,650 yards and 30 touchdowns while also adding 1,375 yards and six touchdowns receiving. Sure, there have been a few hiccups off the field, but the Ohio State product is one of the league's best running backs.

Barkley hasn't been on the field as long, but he has still managed to throw his name into the hat for top offensive playmakers in the league. Despite only playing in 21 games, the No. 2 pick in the 2018 draft has 2,562 yards (1,680 rushing, 882 receiving) while putting up 18 total touchdowns.

During the first meeting this season, Barkley put up better numbers statistically (139 total yards on 15 touches). But Elliott (14 touches, 63 yards, touchdown) got the last laugh as his team won handily.

3. Daniel Jones' first game against Dallas

The first time these two teams played in Week 1, longtime quarterback Eli Manning was still the starter. Manning's underwhelming performance through two games (556 yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions, 6.2 yards per attempt) led to his benching.

The ups and downs (seven interceptions, six fumbles lost) have been prevalent for Jones, but the sixth overall pick of this year's draft has undoubtedly added a spark to the offense at times.

It will be interesting to see how he fares against a Cowboys defense that ranks ninth in the league in passing yards allowed per game (228.0).

Final Analysis

It is hard to imagine that Dallas will be able to hand the Giants as much of a lopsided loss the second time around, especially with the Cowboys being on the road. With that being said, it is also hard to imagine a scenario where the Giants win outright.

There is a lot to love about the long-term potential of New York's offense, but will it show on Monday night? More than likely, Dallas will be the more consistent team, which will lead to them covering the seven-point spread.

Prediction: Cowboys 31, Giants 21

The Oakland Raiders are suddenly, once again, not such a sexy playoff pick.

That’s what happens when a team losses two games in a row. Thus, Oakland’s roller-coaster season continues. Oakland looked great in a Week 1 home win over the Denver Broncos. Then, the Raiders were completely outclassed by the Kansas City Chiefs and the Minnesota Vikings.

It appeared that Oakland was on its way to another disappointing season under new/old coach Jon Gruden, who led the team to a 4-12 record last season in his Raiders’ return. Yet, Gruden and his squad stepped up to beat the Indianapolis Colts on the road and the Chicago Bears in London to improve to 3-2. Yet, the Raiders responded by losing twice on the road, to the Green Bay Packers and the Houston Texans this past Sunday. Oakland was game against the Texans, but it just couldn’t make enough plays on both sides of the ball to beat the Texans.

oakland raidersBut not all is lost for the 3-4 Raiders. Five of the final nine games are in Oakland, including the next three games. Most importantly, the Raiders’ remaining schedule is not difficult at all. Their final nine opponents have a combined winning percentage of .364, which is the third lowest in the NFL.

This week’s game against the visiting Detroit Lions is critical for Oakland. If it can beat a solid opponent to move to 4-4 after playing a way from Oakland in five straight games and with an easy second-half schedule, Oakland will have to be considered playoff contenders in a weak AFC.

There is a huge difference between 4-4 and 3-5. Beating the Lions, 3-3-1, won’t be easy, but the Raiders must find a way to win.

The key is keeping Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford, who is having a big season, from taking the game over. The Raiders have won games against lesser quarterbacks this season, but have been gutted by the likes of Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers and Deshaun Watson. Stafford is somewhere in between the caliber of quarterbacks Oakland has played. He can be the best player on the field Sunday, but it’s Oakland’s job not to make that happen.

The second-half sprint to the playoffs will start on Sunday as the Seattle Seahawks take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at CenturyLink Field. This will reignite a coaching rivalry between Pete Carroll and Bruce Arians that was always must-see television when these coached against each other as NFC West rivals.

It was a tale of two halves for Seattle (6-2), who charged out to a 24-0 lead against Atlanta and then things got interesting as the Falcons rallied thanks to Matt Schaub's 460 passing yards. The Seahawks held on for a 27-20 win to keep pace with the rest of the division, but they clearly have work to do moving forward. Russell Wilson was efficient throwing the football as he completed 14 of 20 passes for 182 yards and threw two touchdown passes. Chris Carson did his usual solid work (90 rushing yards, TD on 20 carries) while Tyler Lockett caught six passes for 100 yards and DK Metcalf hauled in two short touchdown passes to make the most of his 13 receiving yards.

"Referees are never held accountable" those were the words of Arians at his Monday press conference after Tampa Bay (2-5) lost a tough one in Tennessee by a score of 27-23. The Buccaneers were the victim of a premature whistle with 3:45 left in the game when the Titans ran a fake field goal during which punter Brett Kern was tackled and had the ball come loose thanks to Devin White. Buccaneers safety Andrew Adams picked the ball up and had a clear path to the end zone for a touchdown. However, the officials ruled Kern down by contact despite the replays on television showing otherwise. This play, in a nutshell, encapsulated the epidemic that the NFL has with officials finding a way to make themselves the story, which in this case was via the premature whistle. Bottom line, Arians said what 31 other coaches are thinking in regard to referees as fans of all 32 teams across the league are getting shortchanged on a weekly basis because of the officiating as a whole.

Tampa Bay at Seattle

Kickoff: Sunday, Nov. 3 at 4:05 p.m. ET

TV: FOX

Spread: Seahawks -6.5

Three Things to Watch

1. Russell Wilson vs. Buccaneers pass defense

Wilson is not going to be fazed by Tampa Bay defensive coordinator Todd Bowles' blitz-heavy approach as he has a118.6 passer rating against the blitz. That rating will be tested this week, as Seattle lost center Justin Britt to a season-ending knee injury and for right now its Joey Hunt’s job to run with. Also, the Seahawks have a great knack for creating explosive plays via the air this year. They have 33 pass plays that have gone of 20 yards or more which is good for fifth in the NFL. Look for Seattle to put Wilson in situations where he can go on the attack early and often deep down the field to Lockett and Metcalf to exploit the Buccaneers secondary.

2. Jameis Winston vs. Seahawks defense

Winston is entering a hornet's nest as the 12s will be lying in wait for him. Turnovers have been a huge problem for Winston in 2019 as he is on pace for 27 interceptions. Last Sunday in Tennessee he was responsible for four turnovers, the third time that's happened this season. Not surprisingly, Tampa Bay is 0-3 in those games. It's never been a question of physical ability with Winston as he has all the tools to be a quality quarterback. As for the matchup against this Seattle defense, he will have time to throw as the Seahawks have struggled all year long getting pressure on opposing quarterbacks. Thus, Winston needs to feed his top two receiving targets Chris Godwin and Mike Evans, who are averaging 100.7 and 94.6 receiving yards per game, respectively. Meanwhile, Seahawks linebackers Bobby Wagner, K.J. Wright, and Mychal Kendricks need to find a way to create havoc for Winston and generate turnovers. Seattle has 15 takeaways, which is good for fifth overall in the NFL.

3. Tampa Bay run defense vs. Seattle offensive line

This battle between the Buccaneers' defensive line and the Seahawks' offensive line will be a fun one for 60 minutes. Tampa Bay is the best in the league against the run, giving up 68.6 yards per game on the ground. The return of Jason Pierre-Paul up front was a nice boost last week, as he, Ndamukong Suh and Vita Vea give the Bucs a fearsome trio. Looking ahead to their matchup with the Seattle offensive line, they will have to take advantage of left tackle Duane Brown, who is still working his way back into top playing form, and new center Joey Hunt. It will be very crucial for the Seahawks to stay ahead of the sticks and get the most they can out of their running game.

Final Analysis

The folks in Vegas got this one just about right with the number at 6.5. Seattle simply hasn't blown anybody out so far in 2019. You can expect plenty of offensive fireworks as Russell Wilson will have a great shot to throw for 300 yards against the Buccaneers' defense. Turnovers will be a huge factor and the Seahawks' defense will find a way to get three takeaways against Jameis Winston. The wear and tear of the travel for Tampa Bay will be a factor as well and it will begin to show in the second half on Sunday. Seattle will pick up its seventh win of the season in what turns out to be an entertaining contest.

Prediction: Seahawks 34, Buccaneers 28

The Cleveland Browns hope to get on track Sunday afternoon in Denver when they take on the Broncos. These two teams played last year in the Mile High City with Cleveland taking it, 17-16. It was a quarterback duel between Case Keenum, who is now with Washington, and Baker Mayfield, who threw two touchdown passes in the win. That victory snapped an 11-game losing streak for the Browns in the series that spanned all the way back to 1991.

So far, Cleveland has failed immensely to live up to the hype that was bestowed upon them by the national media. All of the pomp and circumstance included a Sports Illustrated cover and many asking if they had the best roster in football. Fast forward to Week 9 and the Browns are sporting a 2-5 record with a three-game losing streak. Mayfield has flopped a bit, as he struggles to cut down on turnovers, while the defense has dealt with injuries and allowed 20 points or more six times already.

Denver is 2-6 on the season and had a small victory during the week when they didn't deal cornerback Chris Harris Jr. before the trade deadline. The team enters this contest with Brandon Allen under center as Joe Flacco was placed on injured reserve on Friday because of a bulging disk in his neck.

The Broncos have four losses this year of one score or less. With a stop here and there, their record would be so much better.

Cleveland at Denver

Kickoff: Sunday, Nov. 3 at 4:25 p.m. ET

TV: CBS

Spread: Cleveland -3

Three Things to Watch

1. Intangibles

The Broncos are home for the third time in the last four weeks, so there won't be any travel weariness, especially with the coming next week. It's been a rough first half to the season and one has to wonder if all the losing (and how it has happened) is starting to affect team morale, the vibe in the locker room. On the other side, you've got a Cleveland team coming off a 27-13 loss at New England. This is their second straight road game and fifth overall so far. They've played one of the toughest schedules in the league and can't afford to look ahead even though they've got a three-game homestand up next. Cleveland's season isn't over by far, but they also don't have a ton of margin for error right now.

2. Please let me introduce myself

As mentioned above, Brandon Allen will be under center Sunday. Not only will the 6-foot-2 signal-caller out of Arkansas be making his first career start for Denver, but he'll also be throwing his first regular-season pass as well. Allen was taken in the sixth round by Jacksonville back in the 2016 draft and was waived before the '17 season. He spent some time on the Rams' active roster and practice squad before they waived him in August. This past preseason, Allen completed 63.8 percent of his passes while throwing for 431 yards and no touchdowns to three interceptions. One has to think that with a weak offensive line, Browns pass rusher Myles Garrett could be introducing himself to Allen early and often.

3. Can Cleveland take care of business?

Baker Mayfield has 12 interceptions in 2019 to just six touchdowns. The quarterback has been a massive disappointment after most expected him to take the next step in his progression with stud wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry. Mayfield has had at least one turnover in every game and is facing one of the best secondaries in football. Chris Harris Jr. was not dealt and he's been doing great stuff so far. Even better is safety Justin Simmons, who leads the team with 45 tackles as well as nine passes defended. Browns running back Nick Chubb will have to put last week's struggles behind him, as Cleveland can't win without some balance on offense.

Final Analysis

I thought Cleveland was going to struggle this season despite all the hype. So far, I was right about a Browns team that is committing too many turnovers and penalties. Denver is a play or two away from having a winning record and being in a different mental state. It's tough to play in Denver, and while everyone is ready to hand this one to the road team, I'll go against the grain and take the Broncos despite Brandon Allen being under center.

Prediction: Broncos 16, Browns 13
